Jueqi Chen, Ph.D. will join the Department of Microbiology on July 1, 2019 as an Assistant Professor. Dr. Chen is currently working in the laboratory of Zhijian ‘James’ Chen at the UT Southwestern Medical Center, where she received her Ph.D. in Biomedical Science in 2014. Her research has focused on dissecting the molecular mechanisms of signaling pathways in innate immunity and inflammation. Chen has been the recipient of the Cancer Prevention Research Institute of Texas Training Grant, the UT Southestern Integrative Biology Program Poster Best Presentation Award, and the Selected Pre-doctoral Speaker at the 2012 Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas Conference.
