Mark Mimee, Ph.D. will join the Department of Microbiology effective September 1, 2019 as an Assistant Professor. Dr. Mimee received his doctorate in Microbiology in 2018 from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the laboratory of Dr. Timothy K. Lu. He continued his research in Dr. Liu's lab as a postdoctoral associate and group leader. Mimee's research focuses on developing fundamental technologies to enable the study and engineering of the microbiome.
